Body Shop/Collision Center Estimator

North Brothers Ford in Westland Michigan is seeking an experienced Estimator. As an Estimator for North Brothers Ford, you will be an important instrument in making a customer's bad day into an overall great experience. Our Estimators are specialists in communication, customer focus and attention to quality and details. They serve as a liaison between the customer and the insurance company to ensure that the vehicle repairs are done right the first time and on time when promised.

Estimator responsibilities include: 
  • work closely with customers to repair vehicle as quickly as possible
  • serve as a liaison between the customer and the insurance company
  • coordinate with Certified Body Shop Technicians to ensure satisfactory completion
  • quality control checks prior to customer taking delivery of vehicle
  • process deductible or payments

Requirements include: 
  • genuine desire to serve
  • previous experience as an Estimator
  • ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • experience with Dealertrack is a plus
  • previous experience with CCC estimating software
  • meticulous attention to detail

Auto Dealership Prep/Porter

What we are looking for: The new-vehicle salesperson is responsible for selling new vehicles while maximizing dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards. This position includes four broad areas of activity: personal work habits, prospecting, selling and follow-up. Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote himself/herself to guaranteeing satisfaction of customers. 

Job duties include:
  • establishing personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devising a strategy to meet those goals.
  • report to the new vehicle Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analyses. 
  • determine each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.
  • keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers.
  • demonstrate new vehicles (includes test drives).
  • deliver vehicles to customers. The delivery process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, paperwork and other features. This is important as it lays the foundation for customer loyalty.
  • attend all sales meetings.
  • maintain and follow up with customers and prospects utilizing industry standard CRM applications.
  • review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
  • understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product.
  • know and understand equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to the customer.
  • know, understand and obey all applicable federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales.
  • introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department.
  • must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Quick Lane Technician

North Brothers Ford is in need of a Quicklane lube tech. We are looking for friendly and outgoing individuals who can perform the job functions of changing oil and other necessary general maintenance procedures on automotive vehicles. The ideal candidates will have experience on a quick lane, must be able to follow directions and adhere to processes, have a good work ethic and perform in a fast paced environment. This is an entry level position with full time benefits. The job will require working some Saturdays. 

Responsibilities include:
  •  Perform vehicle inspections, basic maintenance, minor repairs, and documenting repairs.
  • Perform oil changes and lubrication work.
  • Communicate with service advisor when additional repairs are needed or when repairs cannot be completed in the scheduled time period.
  • Work alongside skilled technicians to learn how to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs.
Requirements:
  • Lube Tech must have previous automotive Quick Lube experience.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Lube Techs require strong communication skills in serving customers and working with other employees.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Must consent to and pass a drug/background screen.
